Art Reviewer is a game designed to help players articulate and develop their opinions about art. Many individuals, both outside and within the professional art world, often struggle to discuss art due to an unwritten rule that expressing such opinions can make one seem pretentious or foolish. Many participants preemptively apologised for their perceived lack of knowledge, highlighting the cultural barrier the game seeks to circumvent. Through multiple rounds of testing, the game demonstrated that those outside the art world have interesting, valid, and insightful perspectives on art, and they enjoy sharing these views in a safe environment. Art Reviewer allows people to explore, develop, and express their opinions on art, thereby building their confidence in doing so.
