A Wake for the Celtic Tiger was a public performance exploring the death of a narrative which dominated Ireland's identity domestically and internationally. Referencing the Irish response to economic collapse and austerity, the effigy was eulogised, given a procession and treated to a wake. The audience, engaged in these rituals, became participants in the broader collective spectacle the work addressed. The project took place in 2013 with the support of author Dr Conor McCabe, Des Derwin of SIPTU, activist Stephen Bedford, Poet Norsam, and many others.
